This annual gay pride festival dates back to 1971 and serves the San Francisco South Bay community. The event starts off with the Night Festival on August 26th from 6 pm to 11 pm at Caesar Chavez Park. The highlight of the weekend is the parade. The parade kicks off on Sunday, August 27th at 10 am and runs down Market Street in Downtown San Jose. People line the streets to see community groups, live bands, and dancers march through the city. After the Silicon Valley Pride Parade, the fun continues in Caesar Chavez Park from noon until 6 pm. You can browse booths staffed by local LGBT organizations, dance to live music and enjoy local food vendors.
Before the parade, you can start your day with our free breakfast at our hotel near San Jose. While you get ready for the day, you can use the complimentary Wi-Fi to make plans to meet up with friends at the festival.
